Maggie | Leo Tsukinaga | Ensemble Stars!!

PLAYER INFORMATION
Name: Maggie
Preferred pronoun(s): She/her
Contact: PM works best!

CHARACTER INFORMATION
Name: Leo Tsukinaga
Canon: Ensemble Stars!!
Canon point: Around the start of Knights Climax
Age: 20

Personality:
» What traits do your character admire in a person?
"Weirdness"! Leo likes people who surprise him and who he finds interesting. This is a pretty wide range, admittedly, among the weird cast of Enstars - he's drawn to people who are passionate about something, people who are unapologetically themselves and who don't back down. And if you're a little bit bizarre so much the better!

» What do they dislike most about themself?
He dislikes many things about himself despite his usually upbeat demeanor, but probably the thing Leo hates the most is how he's hurt people he loves before. He views himself as sort of a liability in that sense - he's a man with bloodied hands (dramatic enstars talk) and he views those he loves as above that.

» What discrepancies are there between their inner self (who they feel they are) and their outer self (how they present themselves to others)?
As alluded to last answer Leo presents himself as an upbeat and energetic man who whirls through life at his own pace. This isn't untrue, exactly, but it also covers a lot of idol war trauma. He usually covers up a lot of his intelligence with flippancy to the point he'll engage in ridiculous chess maneuvers he makes up but as soon as he drops the act he can win near immediately. He's annoying like that.

» Who are two influential people in their life (can be positive or negative)?
So many options...! The first we shall set as Tsukasa Suou, the next King of Knights who more or less dragged the unit kicking and screaming out of their war-era trauma. Leo came back from his running away era largely because he saw Knights preforming with their newbie and wanted to clear himself from the chess board. His entire arc in ! (...and then in !! occasionally when he forgets his character development) was having Tsukasa head up hammering it through Leo's head that he's an important part of Knights (he's contractually obligated to forget this as needed for Knights events). Tsukasa represents hope for Leo, and in him Leo has found some balm to what he himself felt when he was King.

The second will be Izumi Sena, Leo's close friend from their first year at Yumenosaki on. Leo more or less just attached himself to Sena because he liked him instantly and happily stuck with him up to their second year when The War (sighs) occurred. During that time period Leo took on the mantle of King of Knights at Sena's behest and when they later fought about that he admitted half of why he'd torn down chess was to try to make Sena happy (it did not work). In !! canon the two remain close, even living together while overseas with Sena claiming Leo's life as his own when Knights collectively acknowledges Leo needs a designated babysitter after he has a run in with the music mafia. Sena has been at times a strongly positive influence as one of Leo's greatest muses and friends and someone who pushes him to actually apply himself, and at times a more negative one when they don't communicate or Leo believes himself to be in the wrong. Usually it leans to the positive!

» What do they get excited about?
Music is a big one! Then his little sister, Ruka. And Knights. And...really anything that catches his eye. He's been known to spend evenings chasing butterflies (a dumb time to choose to try to do this) and to get really excited about cherry blossoms or snacks. He's like a little kid sometimes.

» What is something they are very bad at?
Taking care of himself. Multiple stories and voicelines reference Leo forgetting to eat, sleep, or do various other things you're meant to do to live if he gets caught up in composing. Keeping Leo alive is like a Knights group project.

» What is one thing they would tell their younger self if they had the chance?
Honestly, he'd probably get distracted wanting to compose a song with his younger self. But if he remembered to give any advice, he'd probably just say to treasure Knights or not worry too much. He wouldn't think he'd take his own advice so he wouldn't put much thought into it.

» How do they want to be remembered?
He doesn't really care about that! But probably for his music?
Powers/abilities: Leo is world-famous composer in his canon, so...he can write music! He can play a ton of instruments! He can sing and dance and seems pretty decent at athletics! He's also apparently quite good at archery when he bothers with it although annoyingly he never seems to need to practice at that. Basically: Leo has a bunch of normal-ass abilities that aren't about to wow anyone unless they really like idols or music.

Inventory: His cellphone (he will lose this within a day), various markers, a small notebook, a few wrapped candies, a now useless wallet...he's not carrying around anything that exciting.

Sentimental item: One of Ruka's hair ties! Ruka is his little sister and Leo absolutely adores her. He's liable to be more careful with the ribbon than with anything of his own.

Gemstone: Orange primary gold secondary and oval! It's very sparkly and glittery so maybe he'll try not to lose it.

Lost memory #1: Coruscate Breeze, which is just Knights has a summer vacation and because I've been staring at this question for days and you know what, if the goal is a Leo who is super ready to buy into altered memories of any castmates that's a good one to carefully strike from the record. It just adds to him being a little more distraught initially.

Lost memory #2: He'll forget how he and Sena made up in Canary Hall specifically, which will make him feel a bit uneasier still about future arguments.

Altered memory: At the start of Knights Climax Leo is sort of at odds with the others (sigh) so the alteration is a much bigger and more serious fight between Knights just before he woke up here. It's meant to put Leo in one of his more mercurial mind sets where he's certain he's ruined things permanently, although he'll find ways to be cheerful as soon as he adapts to what's going on around him.
