CHARACTER INFORMATION
Name: Baldr Misteltein
Canon: https://aselia.fandom.com/wiki/Tales_of_the_Rays
https://aselia.fandom.com/wiki/Baldo - original Baldr (A note: as one of the fan translators currently working on translating the game, we’ve opted to “localize” the spelling of some of the names to keep the clear mythological references intact for our translation. Likewise, we have opted to use the term “Wraith” rather than Namco’s “Illusionare” to keep the implications of the name closer to the “phantom” aspect of the kanji used in the original Japanese.)
https://aselia.fandom.com/wiki/Baldo_Mistleton (see above)
Canon point: The end of Recollection chapter 10; he’s just had some pretty significant wounds healed and his heart kind of put back together (it’s a long story…)

Age: Physically 25; chronologically over 200 due to time travel shenanigans + his current unaging nature

Personality: Please answer the following questions:
» What traits do your character admire in a person?

Given that the member of the Reaper Knights Baldr seems to bond with immediately is Seirios, I think it’s safe to say that Baldr admires people who are calm, rational, and compassionate without being a pushover… but also with a slight gremlin streak underneath. He also respects Haze’s straightforward nature and her determination to protect her people no matter what. Basically, he’s drawn to what would be considered traits befitting a knight or a good leader, likely due to his own upbringing as a knight in service to a prince.

» What do they dislike most about themself?

Initially, Baldr hates himself for his inability to protect Woden and Mercuria. He views himself as a failure of a knight for being unable to carry out his single sworn duty: being by Woden’s side and protecting him. Not only that, he feels guilt for surviving when no one else did.

After he gets his memories back and realizes what he really is, however, what he ends up hating is essentially himself as a whole: knowing that he is the reason Wraiths have kept attacking Kodama and company and everyone around them, and knowing logically that the best thing to do would be to kill himself and yet being unable to do so in the face of his desire to save Woden and the others. And worst of all, knowing that his very existence is the reason behind the destruction of Tir Na Nog and the deaths of everyone he had ever loved.

» What discrepancies are there between their inner self (who they feel they are) and their outer self (how they present themselves to others)?

On the outside, Baldr is largely the perfect gentleman. As Haze describes in her entry in his in-game profile, “Baldr is an incredibly considerate person who is kind and courteous to everyone.” He’s kind, emotionally perceptive, and is generally the first person to try to cheer someone up or comfort them when they’re feeling down. Even Elnath calls him “kind and gentle,” though she’s initially suspicious of him. Women flock to him, kids love him… he seems like the sort of person everyone likes being around.

Internally, however, Baldr is something of a mess who considers himself a failure for being able to protect Woden and Mercuria and the others. In one subscenario, he muses that if it turns out there’s no way to save Woden, then he truly wouldn’t mind dying because in his mind there’s nothing left for him in that situation. He’s living purely on the hope of being able to save his lord—beyond that, he’s just a great big ball of depression underneath. He’s just become quite skilled at concealing it so that no one else is aware of the depths of his sadness.

» Who are two influential people in their life (can be positive or negative)?

Woden: The real Baldr’s lord, childhood friend, and the person he loves most in all the world. This Baldr was quite literally created out of the real Baldr’s devotion to and desire to protect Woden, and even though by now he’s aware that he isn’t the real Baldr, that love and devotion still remains. He would do anything for Woden, from changing the past to killing his “other self” if necessary-- Woden is his reason for existing, both literally and figuratively, and the game’s Finale implies very heavily that the real Baldr and Woden’s relationship is in fact a romantic one. He is able to fade away happy knowing that Woden is safe and sound in the altered timeline, and some of his last words are thanking the others for helping him save his lord.

Lugh/Elnath: Balor’s mirrite and the person responsible for this Baldr’s creation and the entire series of events that led to the Recollection timeline. Baldr bears a great deal of anger and hatred towards Lugh, blaming her for everything that happened. When he recalls Elnath’s true identity as Lugh, he responds with immediate rage, yet at the same time moments later he physically intercedes to take a blow meant for her. As much as he hates Lugh, he’s still able to draw a distinction between Lugh and Elnath (who had been missing her memories for years and believed herself to be nothing more than a human), and so he’s willing to fight to save the Elnath that he grew to know, even being aware that she is in fact also Lugh.

» What do they get excited about?

Not many things, honestly. Baldr exists in a near-perpetual state of quiet melancholy, and while he does show occasional flashes of amusement or mischief, they’re few and far between. The only thing that seems to bring him any sort of hope is the chance to return to the past and find a way to save Woden and Woden’s younger sister Mercuria, be that by stopping the Rainbow Night in its entirety or by taking Woden and Mercuria back into the future with them should they be unable to prevent its occurrence.

» What is something they are very bad at?

… drawing. I present to you this canon example of Baldr’s attempt to illustrate a mirrite. He tried. (Kodama, Seirios, and Iris in the BG: “A bird? A bug? A crab?”)

» What is one thing they would tell their younger self if they had the chance?

If we’re talking strictly about him rather than about the real Baldr as well, then probably the truth about Elnath, though things may have ended very differently if he had known that fact all along. It was most likely for the best that he wasn’t actually aware of this for the majority of canon…

» How do they want to be remembered?

Quite simply, Baldr just wants to be remembered. He is a being that shouldn’t even exist, a shadow of the real Baldr, and as such he doesn’t really have any expectations of remaining in anyone’s memory. When the Recollection cast is fading out of existence in the final chapter, Baldr knows that there isn’t any chance of him being reborn in the future with the others, and he seems genuinely happy when Kodama tells him that even if that’s the case, there are people here and now who will remember that he existed. He fades away wishing the others happiness in the future, content in the knowledge that he succeeded in his mission and that he will remain in people’s hearts.

Powers/abilities:
Wraith nature: Misteltein is, in actuality, not a time-traveled version of the real Baldr at all. In fact, he isn’t even a human—he is a creature known as a Wraith, a collection of unbalanced memories and emotions sprung from a person that then attacks other people seeking the memories and emotions it lacks. He was created out of the original Baldr’s intense love for his lord and closest friend, Crown Prince Woden, and his wish to always be by Woden’s side. As a result, Misteltein himself has one desire and one desire alone: to return to Woden’s side and save him from his fate through whatever means necessary. As he himself puts it in chapter 10, he is “a ball of deep emotions that is indistinguishable from a human.”

While he isn’t the only Wraith to take human form, he IS the only one that we’ve seen to be fully sentient, a result of him directly draining original Baldr’s life force. However, because he shares memories with the real Baldr and the because the act of being tossed into the future via the Chronos Pillar left him missing chunks of his memory (including the memory of his creation), for the first 9 chapters of Recollection he has no idea that he isn’t in fact the real Baldr.

As a Wraith that is fundamentally indistinguishable from a human, this also makes him living bait for other Wraiths—he is made up of nothing but memories and emotions, the things Wraiths seek, but they see him as a human rather than as another Wraith and thus try to attack him for those memories. Any Wraiths that are in the area will be immediately drawn to him and set upon him and anyone else who may be present.

Spirit Arts/Soul Techniques: The magic Baldr uses via his lantern and its will-o’-the-wisps, mostly offensive in nature. Unlike the real Baldr whose skills are primarily aspected to wind and earth, this Baldr specializes in darkness- and water-based artes. As he has no magical ability of his own, he can’t cast them without the lantern as their power is derived from it.
Swordsmanship & martial arts: Baldr is a skilled swordsman and martial artist, though he does not use these methods to fight (in fact, he refuses to even draw his swords in battle on the grounds that he no longer has the right or a reason to use them after failing to protect Woden).

Immortality: Baldr is immortal in the sense that he does not age and will not die of natural causes; however, as he himself says in canon, this doesn’t mean that he can’t die. He can be killed just like any other living being.

Death Star: The name given to Baldr’s unique power – likely the remnants of Balor’s power that had remained in the original Baldr after his resurrection - that grants him (and anyone else who is also given the power) the ability to defeat Wraiths, normally impervious to any sort of harm that can be caused by humans. It does not affect anything other than Wraiths, so it will be functionally useless here (things said ten seconds before disaster--).

Inventory: The clothing on his back, his two katana (Hayate and Yamato), and his lantern. (I’m going to assume that the Recollection Orbs that had been stored in it will not be coming along with him because that could prove slightly problematic to like… half of the nexuses back in Tir Na Nog haha)

Sentimental item: An elaborate golden hairpiece belonging to Baldr’s lord, Crown Prince Woden. As outlined above, Baldr loves Woden more than anything else in the world, and his greatest regret is being unable to protect him.

Gemstone: Oval-shaped blue labradorite, azure blue gradating to purple—pretty much exactly like this image, except with a noticeable crack or scratch across the blue part at the bottom.

Lost memory #1: His memories of all of the chapter 10 events post-diving in front of Elnath to take the Wraith attack meant for her. He’ll remember that, but not spawning his own Wraith as a result, nor Kodama and Elnath going heart core spelunking to try to heal the damage caused to his soul by that. Basically, he won’t remember that he got his memories of his creation and true nature back and thus will continue to believe that he is the real Baldr, which will keep his personality and motivations the same as they were during the first 9 chapters of Recollection before he learned the truth about himself. However, because he was already beginning to harbor doubts about whether or not he is truly Baldr by the beginning of chapter 10, he’ll feel decidedly uneasy whenever he thinks about the parts of chapter 10 that he does remember but won’t know quite why.

Lost memory #2: Related to the above, the fact that Elnath is actually Balor’s mirrite Lugh (the very being who effectively attacked the real Baldr and caused the entire chain of events that led to the Recollection future timeline) in a different form. As a result, he will see Elnath simply as Elnath—Kodama’s senior officer whom he has only just met recently, and as such harbors no deeper/conflicted feelings towards her. (We love undoing canon developments for fun and profit!)

Altered memory: He’ll remember the conflict with Lugh on the Rainbow Night, but he’ll believe that it was him rather than the original Baldr fighting Lugh, reinforcing his belief that is really is Baldr after all. I’m pretty much resetting him to his pre-chapter 10 state, the only difference being that he HAS in fact regained his lost memories that he didn’t have in the earlier chapters. He just won’t remember that he has them back now.

Sample: Over here! (with a note that this is with memory loss that makes him believe he’s the real Baldr, so much as he’ll be in this game at first)

TERRIBLE. I love it (but Baldr probably won't).

HMM I will debate the Recollection Orbs (they're basically just other people's memories in a physical form) since it's not like they would be doing anything here but. You never know... Thank you!

CHARACTER INFORMATION
Name: Calia
Canon: Original
Canon point: Two and a half weeks after her exile into the human world
Age: 22

Personality:

» What traits do your character admire in a person?

To start with, she admires honesty and kindness. Someone strong who doesn’t back down and can properly speak their mind without being mean about it. Strength of will is something she really finds admirable as well.

» What do they dislike most about themself?

Her inability to be able to properly speak her mind the right way or speak out against things that truly bother her. She’s always too concerned about hurting others that she’ll keep any harmful words to herself and tell them something else without necessarily lying.

» What discrepancies are there between their inner self (who they feel they are) and their outer self (how they present themselves to others)?

The way she presents a more cheerful exterior when she doesn’t necessarily feel happy, in an attempt to hide how she feels. She doesn’t wanna drag others down if she feels bad, hiding it in order to help others and pushing herself too far. Her inner self is more truthful and at times selfish but she always ignores it, feeling like she has to wear a mask to not worry anyone else or bother them.

Her real self is very honest, down on herself and more depressed than she lets on. ‘Better to pretend than show the truth.’ is a motto she personally follows.

» Who are two influential people in their life (can be positive or negative)?

Selah

Her childhood best friend. They’ve grown up together and did practically everything their whole lives. She’s shared her truths with this girl and they both have an incredible passion for the arts, mainly singing. The other girl supports her and at times acts like an older sister to her, which comes as a comfort when she feels there’s not much she could say to anyone else. She confides in her and will practically drop anything if it means she can help her out, completely trusting to the point of being blind to her best friend’s jealousy when it comes to singing.

She wants Selah to succeed in life, praising the other girl wherever she can without even thinking about it and holds Selah in such high regard. While Calia does have other friends, Selah has always been the most important person to her, looking up to her with admiration and respect.

Iridessa

Calia’s mother. With her father being always busy at work, Iridessa has been the one to raise her little girl but has instilled things into Calia’s head as far as her general mindset. Don’t bother others. Be grateful. While her mother is kind at heart, she doesn’t realize the harm she’s done in pushing her to act certain ways in public, and is the reason Calia doesn’t ask much for herself and goes along with everything without seemingly questioning it.

She’s also the same person who has ingrained it into Calia’s mind to always respect authority and not ‘mooch’ from other people since it would be ‘rude’. Because of this? Calia never had the will to really say no when people pressured her to enter the singing competition, and Calia’s never seen anything wrong with thinking this way as nobody’s told her otherwise.

» What do they get excited about?

Two things in particular!!

ONE:

Shiny rocks/items. She’s spent YEARS amassing a collection of uniquely shiny, colorful rocks, gems or the like that’s caught her attention. To the point she gets positively giddy when she sees one she likes, getting almost childishly possessive over it because it’s shiny and pretty?! Why can’t she have this one? This can range from plain rocks she likes to actual gemstones.

TWO:

Music. Anything music related makes her so incredibly happy and will devote hours of her day to pursuing it. She’s written her own song lyrics and while she’s not the greatest with instruments, it’s singing where she shines best. Anyone could bring her lyrics and a melody and she’d happily sing it, an innocuous joy of hers.

While Mermaids in this section of the sea specialize a lot in the arts such as singing? It’s always been a passion of hers and she’s the first person who will throw herself at musically inclined people and things, listening with complete interest to the point of seeming so enraptured since there’s so much she hasn’t yet learned about it.

» What is something they are very bad at?

Being genuinely mean to someone due to her people pleasing tendencies, though she’s also completely horrible when it comes to drawing. No matter how she tries, her art always comes out looking atrocious. It’s a point of frustration for her since it hasn’t changed at all, which some have poked fun at her.

What self respecting mermaid here in Penninah (their home) can’t draw or paint?

» What is one thing they would tell their younger self if they had the chance?

Without hesitation, Calia would tell her not to take things so seriously and to not take the things she has for granted. To love and cherish what she holds dear, and to please be more perceptive.

How could she not pass that on, knowing in the future what was going to happen to her?

» How do they want to be remembered?

Calia wants to be remembered for who she truly is. Not just her singing voice, but for people to remember the way she smiles and what she’s able to have done for others. For her worth is more in seeing others happy than herself, but she yet might learn that her own self has more value than she truly seems to honestly let on.

[personal profile] descaledmute 2024-10-02 05:14 am (UTC)(link)
Powers/abilities:

Light Magic

– Illumination: Calia is capable of creating several little orbs of light that glow and glitter like stars in the sky, bright enough to illuminate darkened areas without coming off as blinding to those around her.

– Binding: She can conjure up a long winding rope of pure starlight that can be used to temporarily bind any creature she so wishes, not easily broken depending on the length that she had manifested into existence.

Healing Magic

Being one of the merfolk means that she can (to some capacity) use healing magic on others, though hers is much less practiced and can only heal minor to mid level injuries at the moment but with practice could mean it would improve how much it could heal on others.

Protection

For limited periods of time, she can create bubbles to encircle people with to protect them from damage but there’s a limit to how much damage they can take and relies solely on her concentration levels at the time.

Underwater Blessing

Something she could only do back under the sea (as far as she knows) but still notable is that a kiss from a mermaid grants any being the temporary ability to breathe underwater until they break the water’s surface and the spell will be broken with a requirement of another kiss from the mermaid themselves.

Regenerative Capabilities

As a Mermaid, she is typically nigh immortal with the exception of removing her heart or decapitation. She heals incredibly quickly as it’s a part of her physiology, but the speed of which depends on how much water she’s been in contact with prior to receiving an injury. Ie; in the ocean it was incredibly fast, and on land can still be relatively faster than the average human if she’s consumed water or in the bath but is not perfect.

Mundane Skills

She’s exceptionally talented at singing, having been a natural at it and has sang her entire life, bears incredibly quick reflexes at times and has a good photographic memory. Has an incredible knowledge of underwater herbs, sea life and what things make the best conventional colors for ‘paint’ but isn’t the most artistically inclined.

A thing to note is Calia has been born with a natural body composition that makes her a little stronger than the average human being but nothing too out of the ordinary.

Inventory:

Small satchel of colorful stones/baubles
A orange seashell hairclip
Small bag of assorted herbs meant to assist with healing.
Couple of shiny coins
Tiny knife (for self defense)

Sentimental item:

A small ornate silver locket that when opened, shows a picture of Kase and Zielle Mayfield (the ones who took her into their home) as children, happy with their mother.

It’s an item Zielle was never seen without, always wearing it when she could as it was a treasured keepsake from their recently departed mother. Calia knows this means a lot to Zielle as they had a talk about it late one night, a week into her stay with them on land. There’s bittersweet emotions attached because she can tell how much Zielle and Kase loved their mom, and her knowing that at the moment she can’t return to see her own family due to what happened.

Not that she holds it against Zielle OR Kase, but looking at it makes her feel a bit melancholic.

Gemstone:

A tear-drop shaped citrine gem that fits neatly in the palm of one’s hand, with hints of greyish-black in it’s center. Neatly polished and shiny minus a chip out of the side.

Lost memory #1: She will be losing the memory of Selah and her as kids when they exchanged handmade bff charms. Which means she will no longer remember the significance of the painted orange seashell hairpin she always wears, not able to associate it with such an important event as it was the things they gave each other after a serious fight and solidified their friendship as kids.

No longer will she know where she got this from, a missing gap in her memories, which means if it gets lost or broken? She won’t feel necessarily as sad about it compared to if she remembered who gifted it to her.

Lost memory #2: The next one she is losing is a notable one as it was a near death experience that resulted in her being more cautious in how she handles situations. It was the catalyst for why her mom became extra protective over her going into her teenage years, or why Calia has a fear of enclosed spaces.

What happened exactly? She got a little into exploring a shipwreck as a kid and what was supposed to be an innocuous prank by the other kids resulted in nearly being crushed alive by the ship’s broken debris. The weight, darkness and pressure of death closing in terrified her and still is something she has a bit of PTSD about so without this memory? She will be a bit more reckless in what she does, since she doesn’t know what almost-dying is like and lacks the trauma alongside it.

Altered memory: Just before the meeting of the delegates of the seven seas’ meeting in Penninah? It’s revealed that the delegate from the Solasta region has had their representative item (which is an item given by the leader of the respective region to represent the leader/head of the region) stolen. There’s a search for who could have taken it.

There’s a meeting at the ‘square’ where everyone is gathered and officials call up the names of the merfolk one by one and they check their bags. Originally Calia is found to mysteriously have the item in question in her bag and this is the source of what gets her exiled to land with her dad furiously insisting his little girl isn’t a thief, but in this altered version?

Her dad is the one who hands her a wrapped item and asks her to hold onto it for a while. Claims it’s a surprise for her mom and then heads off to work, and then Calia goes about her day as per normal… until she’s told to come to the city square and officials rough her about. They go through her bag and find the item and in panic? She spots her dad nearby the officials and tries to get her dad to tell them how he gave it to her to hold onto.

He just scoffs and tells her ‘I thought we raised you not to lie. Take responsibility.’ and lets them take her away without question, which means this taints her memory of her dad and thinks he’s the one who hurt her by setting her up to have this item on her.

CHARACTER INFORMATION
Name: Rin Nesidri
Canon: Original, world info here
Canon point: Post war
Age: 200

Personality:

» What traits do your character admire in a person?
That's basically asking what she likes about her husband, to be honest. But in all seriousness, she tends to admire people who are like her -- playful, loyal, strong willed and just an overall fun person to be around. She enjoys to be around people with those qualities because her work as an assassin could easily leave her jaded, but she chooses to surround herself with people who are like her and that can keep her spirits up. Though, she can and does admire certain people who take things seriously, and has the wit to one up her playful teasing.

» What do they dislike most about themself?
Honestly, she hates the fact that she doesn't think before she acts most of the time. She's usually the first to get in trouble, whether it be in an argument, a fight, or an encounter with a monster. Unfortunately, she's always been like this, and it's hard for her to be any other way. And while she does hate it, it's been a blessing for her as well, since it makes her improvise quite often.

» What discrepancies are there between their inner self (who they feel they are) and their outer self (how they present themselves to others)?
Rin can come off as somewhat air headed and innocent at first glance, but she is much more cunning and charming when she wants to be. She grew up as a street urchin, so she isn't as innocent as people think. She grew up stealing from people, and using her innocent demeanor to get what she wanted to try and survive. Despite this, she isn't harden from her childhood, and continues to maintain a happy, and cheerful demeanor with her peers. In fact, Rin is quite friendly and likes to make friends. Her Dad's taught her how to be friendly, and she still takes those lessons to heart when she meets knew people and tries to make a good first impression.

There's a genuine kindness to her that she has toward strangers, and she makes sure that someone is comfortable when meeting her for the first time. She'll go out of her way to be friendly and even if someone makes her uncomfortable or even slight her in some way, she will maintain that friendliness. It's quite hard to make her truly angry, and she's only been angry in certain cases because she genuinely hates to be that way. She grew up being angry at her hard life, so now that she's older and in a much better place, she wants to thrive and just live.

You'd think that she might have some underlying sadness, or depression, but she's long shed that after she growing up in Crimson. She truly just wants to be happy, and to shed any sort of baggage that came with her in her childhood. She's all about pressing on, and not living with any negatives in her life that might stop her from achieving her goals to protect those she cares about.

» Who are two influential people in their life (can be positive or negative)?
Viktor Nesidri: Her husband, but previously her rival and sparring partner. Viktor's always been there for her, through thick and thin. He's usually the one that gets her out of trouble when she speaks out of turn, or gets herself in a bit of a mess. He can also match her wit with his seriousness. They are polar opposites of each other, but get along so well. Obviously. He keeps her grounded, so he's always a good influence despite what he... does for work...
Davil and Castien: Her two dads. They're the reason why she is the way that she is, to be honest. Castien shaped her personality to be playful, and reminds her constantly to be happy and never let her job as an assassin make her jaded and angry. Davil, on the other hand made sure that she maintained family values and instilled loyalty into her. He was also the one that placed her into Crimson and trained her specifically to be one of his assassins.

» What do they get excited about?
She loves a good thrill. She will purposely do dangerous things that endanger her life because she loves the thrill of it all. The adrenaline, and the adventure -- she loves all of it. She grew up as an urchin, so she was constantly running on adrenaline with everything she did, and that never really went away.

She also loves her kids, and her husband. She will talk about them every chance that she gets because they're so important to her and it makes her excited to speak about them. Her husband is the love of her life, and her children are her children, so. She's a very proud mom.

» What is something they are very bad at?
Keeping her mouth shut. Oh, I guess she's also bad at fist fighting.

» What is one thing they would tell their younger self if they had the chance?
Rin would absolutely tell her younger self to keep an eye on Castien the night that he was being targeted by assassins. She constantly blames herself and feels like she is the reason why Castien can no longer walk without assistance. She feels like she should have been more attentive with her surroundings, despite the fact that it happened at home when no one was least expecting it.

» How do they want to be remembered?
She's remembered in literal history for being a "hero" that sealed away an evil tyrant, but she honestly just wants to be remembered as a normal person even though she knows that's not possible. She doesn't like seeing herself as a hero, because she knows full well that she's committed some serious crimes that aren't very heroic. And she KNOWS that she won't be remembered as a normal person because of those crimes, but damn, one can wish!

But she's content being known, and remembered as being a kind mother, and friend among her crew of misfit friends.

Powers/abilities:
Katana proficiency/swordplay: Rin has been a skilled swordsman for nearly all of her life. She moves fast with her sword, and is able to perform acrobatic skills with her sword. At present, her sword looks like this.

Fire magic: Can embed fire magic into her sword, and can, quite surprisingly, summon a mini phoenix to burn her enemies. Although, her control with fire is not good, she still manages to possess an affinity for it when she's calm and collected. She usually does not use this magic, as it causes her to be exhausted, but she is able to ignite her hand into flames to act as a source of light.

Electricity magic: Rin's specialty. With her electricity magic, she can create lightning cages to seal her enemies. She can also invoke electricity into her katana; creating lightning slashes that vaporize enemies.

Inventory:
She'll have her skin tight dress on, her katana, wedding ring, and folded picture of her children.

Sentimental item:
Viktor's pocket watch. She finds it endearing, as well as annoying. The former is because she found out that Viktor was using it as a means to time certain missions of hers and keep them on record. He used these records to greet her every time she got home from them. The latter annoyed her because he would also time her on how much she talked to him while he was "busy" doing things at his work station and tease her for it later.

low key kind of want this to be her COMP

Gemstone:
Black and gold. Like this.

Lost memory #1:
Rin will not remember that she is the one that sealed Demetria Xydis away the first time. She knows that she was present during the war, and doing her usual search and destroy missions, but will not remember being the main person at the main event. She won't really consider herself as a major chess piece in her overall life. She won't feel like a hero, and will definitely feel less pressure in maintaining the status.

Lost memory #2:
Her gang of misfits. She will still be friendly, and loud, but the downside to not remembering her adventuring friends is that she will be lonely. She'll already be lonely enough with the lack of children and husband here, but feeling like she didn't have any friends throughout her journey will make her a bit sad and aching for some friendship. She'll definitely try harder to make new friends.

Altered memory:
Original memory: Masquerade ball. Rin offered herself to infiltrate Demetria Xydis' masquerade ball to assassinate her in the middle of the ball. Viktor, however, intervened and went with her. It ended in a huge mess, with Viktor being severely injured and Rin dragging him out of the ball room before she could get injured.

Altered: In her altered memory, Viktor is the one that drags her out of the ball, and she is the one that's severely injured. This somewhat ties in with memory one, and makes her think that she missed out on the finale because she was recovering from her injuries. This will make her feel like she's a bit of a failure for "failing" her mission and getting injured at the very end when she wasn't suppose to fail. She'll be a bit wary of her abilities to get things done.
